Membership to a professional body is paramount to an Engineering students' holistic development. With this mind, the Engineering Students Association in partnership with the Institute of Engineers of Kenya organised for a registration drive on Wednesday, 5th February 2020.

A group from The Institute of Engineers of Kenya (IEK) led by their CEO Eng.Linda and joined by graduate engineers arrived at the University and promptly began disseminating information on what is IEK, why students need to join professional bodies, how to transition from a student to a graduate and later professional engineer and the benefits of being an IEK member. At the close of the day, The Engineering Students Association had registered 176 paid up IEK student members who were excited to attend the upcoming digital skills training offered by IEK.

We would like to express our gratitude to the school for their support, including but not limited to our dean, Prof.Ayub Gitau who not only attended the event but also proposed students for membership.
